Drop-in Classes with Prabhakara

Beginners/Regulars, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6.00-7.15pm, Thursdays 12 noon- 1.30pm

The Beginners/Regulars Class is suitable for those new to yoga or the Iyengar method. There is no need to book, just turn up. This class is also suitable for regular students. Students are expected to practise, or build up to, sarvangasana (shoulder stand).

Gentle Beginners, Tuesdays 7.30-8.30pm

Gentle Beginners is a shorter, more basic class for those who may find the Beginners Class too much of a step when first attending and can help build up to a Beginners Class.

Intermediate, Wednesdays 7.30-9.00pm

The Intermediate Class is for students who have been attending regularly for at least two years and can achieve a stable sirsasana (headstand).

Introductory Courses with Prabhakara

An eight-week course for complete beginners – an ideal introduction to Iyengar Yoga. All equipment will be provided. Advanced booking is essential.

Saturday Morning Workshop Series with Prabhakara

The Role of Breath in Yoga: 29 September, 13 October, 24 November, 10.00am-1.00pm

Yoga traditionally divides our being into three parts, body, breath and mind. What is the breath? How is it part of us? How can we use it and in what ways can it assist our practice? In this series of three workshops we will look at how we use the breath in asana. Each workshop will also include a session of pranayama.

These workshops are suitable for those who have been attending Iyengar Yoga classes for at least two years.

Women’s Iyengar Yoga Class with Carol Haynes

Wednesdays 10.00-11.15am (term-time only)

Beginners and experienced students welcome. Classes will include a range of standing, sitting and recuperative postures.

Julie is a junior intermediate level teacher. This drop-in class is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.

Monthly Super Sunday Sessions with Julie Baker
