Drop-in Classes with Prabhakara

No need to book, just turn up. We suggest that you come 15 minutes early for your first class to find your way around. You may pay per class, or buy a Yoga Card (£80, or £60 concessions) valid for 10 of Prabhakara’s regular weekly classes over 12 months. The card cannot be used after the expiry date (sorry, no refund for unused classes).

Beginners/Regulars, Tuesdays 6.00-7.15pm and Thursdays 12 noon- 1.30pm

The Beginners/Regulars Class is suitable for those new to yoga or the Iyengar method, and for regular students. Students are expected to practise, or build up to, sarvangasana (shoulder stand). Price £9 (£7 concessions) per person.

Beginners, Thursdays 6.00-7.15pm (NO CLASS IN AUGUST)

A new class for those new to Iyengar yoga. Price £9 (£7 concessions) per person.

Gentle Beginners, Tuesdays 7.30-8.30pm (NO CLASS IN AUGUST)

Gentle Beginners is a shorter, more basic class for those who may find the Beginners Class too much of a step when first attending and can help build up to a Beginners Class. Price £8 (£6 concessions) per person.

Foundation Course

Thursdays 6.00-7.15pm, 12 September-31 October

This 8-week course is suitable for complete beginners and provides a step-by-step introduction into basic asana as well as the principles of Iyengar yoga. Students will learn the use of props, how to work in the poses and be in a position by the end of the course to attend any of the beginner classes with confidence. This course will replace the beginners class that currently runs on Thursday evenings, for the duration of the course.  Price £65 (£50 concessions). Bookings essential. Please book with the office.

Saturday Morning Workshops with Prabhakara

Opportunities to attend a longer class and work in more detail some of the asana we practise regularly and become more familiar with some of the more challenging asana.

These workshops are suitable for those who have been practising Iyengar yoga for at least one year. Price: £20 (£16 concessions).

Women’s Iyengar Yoga Class with Carol Haynes

Mixed level: Wednesdays 10.00-11.15am (term-time only, so not 31 July-28 August)

Beginners and experienced students welcome. Classes will include a range of standing, sitting and recuperative postures. Price £9 (£7 concessions) per person.
