The Level 1 class is suitable for those new to yoga or the Iyengar method. There is no need to book, just turn up.
Beginners/regulars level class is suitable for new students and for regular students. Students are expected to practise, or build up to, sarvangasana (shoulder stand).
The intermediate level class is for students who have been attending regularly for at least 2 years and can achieve a stable sirsasana (headstand).
Gentle beginners is a shorter, more basic class for those who may find the Level 1 class too much of a step when first attending and is a way to bridge the gap and build up to a Level 1 class.
An eight-week course for complete beginners. The course is an ideal introduction to Iyengar Yoga. All equipment will be provided. Advanced booking is essential.
Next course Thursdays 13 September – 1 November, 6.00-7.15pm
Saturday Morning Workshop Series
The Role of Breath in Yoga: Sept 29, Oct 13, Nov 24, 10.00am-1.00pm
Yoga traditionally divides our being into three parts, body, breath and mind. What is the breath? How is it part of us? How can we use it and in what ways can it assist our practice? In this series of three workshops we will look at how we use the breath in asana. Each workshop will also include a session of pranayama.
These workshops are suitable for those who have been attending Iyengar yoga classes for at least 2 years.
